Seals Track Teams place 1st at PHAC-Central Sectional

Both the boys and girls track teams placed 1st at the 1st ever PHAC-Central Sectional. The boys scored 210.33 points to outpace Mifflinburg who scored 126 points. Selinsgrove boys took home five 1st places. Cole Catherman won both Hurdle events and was a winning leg on the 4x400 relay team. Also on the 4x400 team was Clint Rowe, Donovan Goundie, and Dylan Wagner. Nate Hackenberger won the Triple Jump and Derick Blair took home the championship in the 3200 meters.
On the girls side, Maryrose Molina Shuman helped anchor 2 of the 3 winning relay teams for the Seals and also won the 400 meters. Carly Aument, Lillian Poust and Annalise Bond were the other members of the winning 4x400 meter and 4x100 meter teams. Zoe Tomko, Sheala Kruskie, Briea Mayes, and Olivia Hoffman won the 4x800 meter relay. Other individual winners included Bond in the vault, Kruskie in the 3200, Madison Stebila in the high jump and Kyleigh Elsayed was the only girl to win two individual events; the discus and shot put. The girls scored 206 points and bested Bloomsburg who was in 2nd with 138 points.
